Manchester United secured an important 2–0 win over rivals Manchester City in the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford on Saturday, as part of Matchday 22 of the Premier League season.
After a balanced first half, United broke the deadlock in the 65th minute through Bryan Mbeumo, who finished off a rapid counter-attack with a composed strike into the bottom corner.
The hosts doubled their lead in the 76th minute when Patrick Dorgu converted a low cross inside the box, putting further pressure on City and effectively sealing the three points for the Red Devils.
While Manchester City enjoyed long spells of possession, they struggled to translate their dominance into clear scoring opportunities. United, meanwhile, displayed strong defensive organization and efficiency in transition, capitalizing on key moments in the match.
The victory boosts United’s hopes of climbing towards the European spots, while City suffer a setback in the title race as the season enters its decisive phase.
