Chelsea secured an important 2–0 home victory over Brentford on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, marking the club’s first league win under newly appointed head coach Liam Rosenior.
João Pedro opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 26th minute, before Cole Palmer added the second goal in the 64th minute from the penalty spot, securing three points for his team in a match that showed a clear improvement in performance under head coach Liam Rosenior.
This victory came in Rosenior’s first Premier League match as the team’s manager, after recently taking charge in an effort to revive the Blues’ campaign and move away from the negative results that affected them in previous weeks.
Despite Brentford’s attempts to create chances throughout the match, Chelsea’s defense remained solid, and the visitors were unable to threaten the hosts’ goal, as the match ended with a deserved win for the Blues at home.
With this win, Chelsea’s points tally in the Premier League table increases, while Brentford remains without points from this round, adding further pressure on both sides as the season progresses.
